Deux Or Tre

Two for France, Spain and Italy. Three for the Netherlands and Switzerland. Cheek kissing. Maybe one and a handshake for the US and the UK. A hug for Sweden. A bow for Japan. Sometimes combined.
There’s a LOT of intercontinental greetings going on at an international exhibition. On day three you tend to become forgetful and start cheek kissing the Danes and shaking hands with the Portuguese.
The scent of popcorn and wurst, the sound of music fill the halls. I stumble over wheelchairs fascinated by imaginative ways to get the visitors attention. Bulky German men, dipped in silver paint pass me leisurely on a scooter, more or less well dressed salesmen chuckle in stands, local beer in hands. Fresh fruit salad 4 Euro, no time for lunch, meetings ending with affirmative handshakes or subtle head shakes. The Germans really know how to do this, I hereby appoint them “Best in show”.
And the price for the least motivated in-flight moving map goes to…flight SK448, CPH-GOT, flight time 30 minutes.
