The tiniest little assembly of WB gathered to still their urge. Quite deliberately I signed up for the task of going out for a morning photography session with miss Hellman. On a sunday. I’ve sort been avoiding it since I:

A. consider the art of sleeping in holy and B. never thought anyone would be up for it

The alarm clock rang at 5.30, since we determined that we are somewhat sane and wouldn’t be humans before sunrise anyway. I picked up Hellman at 6.30 and we were off accompanied by two little picnic bags of breakfast, cupcakes and lunch by gorgeous little sights around Göteborg. First halt, lake Aspen with breakfast, then the abandoned house in Tahult which still freaks me out, cupcakes at lake Landvetter, lunch at Råda Säteri and exhausted, I didn’t even get one shot, our last stop at Gunnebo Castle. After a staggering seven hour photo shoot I was done with and took a good one hour nap with the cats.

A while ago, mostly as a ploy, I created a Facebook group called White Balanced for some of my equally enthusiastic photo friends. With the sole purpose of mutual admiration. However the intention of this group took a different turn and people actually seemed to took it seriously. So eventually we’ve had different outings, more or less crowded show-ups but we do it with spirit, be it midwinter, nightfall or rain. So I’ll keep you posted on what we’re up to. Last time you saw us was in the botanical garden in April. This time the four of us (Hellman missing but she makes the rest of us look bad anyway) we went for a spontaneous and surprisingly ugly sunset down at the Opera and the marina.

Flowers, gardens, trees, babies, parents and colours. Nuff said! Me and my photo equip, or half of it, went for a Sunday outing at Botaniska, the botanic garden here in GBG.

My first real night shots, or actually after dark photos. It’s not even after 6 pm here.  I was out with a little photo equip yesterday and was twice asked by different people about what we were doing. I guess a tripod and a DSLR isn’t as obvious as you think.
