Scattered Ashes

Isn’t it strange? Volcano erupts. Ash assaults the air and suddenly no one can fly. Jokes are produced and spread faster than you can say Twitter. For days the words ‘chaos’ has been used more frequently than telemarketers change jobs. Everyone’s involved. If you yourself didn’t get a flight cancelled at least you knew someone who missed their vacation to Nice or had to take a bus home from Italy.

And the minute it’s over people couldn’t care less. Business as usual, so what? We live, complain about our comfort, cry over slight discomfort and then we forget.

Sudden chaos is perishable and doesn’t stick with us as with people and places with everyday hardship.

Cry and forget. Personally I didn’t miss a flight but I will not forget these images for a while.
