Time sure…

flies. And, as usual when I’ve neglected my blog, it’s time for a summary of the past week.

  • Tomorrow I’ve driven the GTI for three weeks. And I still twist my neck looking at it while walking out of the garage and still wash it by hand as soon as a fly dies on it.
  • More car related. Top Gear season 13 started and today I watched the two first episodes. Heaven.
  • Balcony news, this just in: My mojito plant (’plant’ as in ‘factory’) is steadily growing. Literally. Also expanding today with an entire new Apple Mint which is most likely to become a monster plant which will take over the balcony and start eating my thyme and oregano. And the cat. Which, according to highly reliable (or not) sources, was locked out on the balcony last night.
  • Due to foreign visits I’ve had the opportunity to discover two nice little things in town: Avalon’s Herring Platter and Grill Del Mundos fantastic grilled trout and mackerel.
  • Tropical heat in Göteborg. In my bedroom. In the office. Actually the only cool place for me has been in the car, the dairy section in the supermarket and the garage. The definition of a tropical night is when the temperature does not drop below 20 C through the entire night. Last week we were apparently very close on a smashing 19,5 C. I expect fan-sales to be up up up this week. The Swedish summer heat may save the economy?
  • And so Sunday came along and there was rain, cool air and an actual chance to get something productive done. Like watching Top Gear, eating pizza watching Top Gear and shopping raw material for those upcoming Mojitos.
