Or three. The three kings hotel in Basel, Les Trois Rois, is located directly on the river Rhine, and approximately two kilometers from the German border. I’m here for New Years and are told that the official Basel fireworks take place on a boat parked right outside the hotel room. Thus the fireworks could be enjoyed from the convenience of the room’s terasse. If ever in Basel, stay here and try getting a river view room. The rest is just stellar. The staff, the interior, the bar, the details and the outstanding service from arrival to departure.
